Vacation

Im the worst blogger in history! I don't feel too awfully bad about that considering how long blogging has been a thing. I am a great vacationer, however and that must count for something. I am ever tired of Facebook because I'd like a way to stay in touch with people who interest me without having to filter those that don't. I am proud of the SCOTUS today. I deleted family members from FB this week over politics, and while it makes me sad, I had to minimize the chance of coming unglued on people that share the last name my children and their children will carry. At the end of the day, she couldn't care less what I think, so it's even Steven. Funny. Politics divides, as does religion. Love is the only right answer.

Here I go...again

May 1st.  Sooner than I thought. I was planning a Facebook Break, but it came sooner than I had imagined.  I took the Summer off last year, but this year, I needed a longer break.
I love my life. I love my job. I love it all.
I just need to figure out how to balance it all so I can feel the love every day, and not feel so tired sometimes.
Wanna help me?  Wanna cheer me on?
I want to hear from my friends from "the old days" Sheri, Marty, Nell, Barbara, Janene, Terri, Victoria, everyone from RCK, all of you matter to me.
My long distance friends and family that have found me on Facebook, I don't want to be out of touch.
I just don't want to let anything take my time.
My time is so precious that I shouldn't have to weed through the posts on my "timeline" to be connected to people that I care about.
For my everyday people...my F.I.R.E. People...we're a team.
We're beyond family, we work together to make the world better.
Let me know...
Let me know why you're here reading it.
Let me know what you want to talk about.
Let me be in your life by choice, not because I turn up on your news feed.
What a wonderful world we live in that we can connect in such a way.
I'm going to try to really share what's in my heart.
Scared?

Of course, I cheat!

Gotcha!
Now that I have your attention,  I admit, I've checked my Facebook Feed.
I'll admit that I've thought about posting on this Blog many more times over the past month, but I've been LAZY.
Too lazy to get my thoughts together in a way that is suitable for sharing.

BTW...I only put Matt Lauer's name in the "labels" because I'm mad at him for not being on the Plaza at Studio 1A on July 7th.  I had a date with him (in my mind), but he was conspicuously absent.

I've missed Facebook because of the long distance connections with people whom I don't see everyday.
I don't miss much else.
I love self examination, and my hiatus has given me time for that.
I know myself well enough to know that Facebook feeds a desire that I have to know what's going on with people who might fascinate me for all the wrong reasons.  I peer around to see how dirty some people's laundry can get, and how much they're willing to "share".

I have broken the habit of checking FB everytime I get on my computer, or every few hours on my phone.
I plan to maintain this hiatus for another month and then I'll re-evaluate my "connections".

We only get so many summers in our lives and I've tried really hard to enjoy this one.
Now it's back to "work" at the Theatre, as Footloose rehearsals began last night.
I'm looking forward to filling my days and nights with new adventures and I'll be posting some details about those endeavors soon.

For today, I will be thinking of all the ways that I impact the lives of my family and others who care about me by my attitude and my words and actions.  It is a heavy responsibility to have so many eyes on me, reading my mood and navigating around my perceived projections that are really not about anyone but myself.   I'm thinking a lot lately about "atmosphere" and what kind of energy I create.

Are you bored yet?  I thought so.
